What's Happening at the
Inn and in the Valley
Winter
was very "Seattle-like", but our famous
Napa weather is back - warm days, cool nights and
plenty of wine and food to go around.
Downtown Napa just keeps getting better. Several
new restaurants have opened with an ever-increasing
range of styles. Check them out on Napa's helpful
website, www.napadowntown.com
(click on Visitors,
then Downtown Merchants, then Restaurants).
Napa's nightlife will never rival the "big city",
but you now have several options for after dinner.
The Bounty
Hunter is open late every night for those hearty
souls who need more wine tasting, Uva
Restaurant and Bar has jazz five nights a week
and Downtown
Joe's offers a variety of musical styles several
nights a week. Other locations, such as the Opera
House and COPIA,
also offer entertainment most weekends during the
summer and fall months.
Both the Friday night Chef's Market and our twice
weekly Farmers Markets are in full swing. The Tuesday
and Saturday morning Farmers Markets are a great place
to pick up fresh fruit to nibble on during the day
or bring back to the inn for an alfresco picnic in
the courtyard. Chef's Market is held Friday nights
from Memorial Day to Labor Day, when the streets are
alive with food, wine, chef demonstrations and music
from 5 to 9:00 pm. A great "small town"
event that attracts both locals and visitors.
Bottom line - there's lots to do here in addition
to the ever-popular wine tasting.
If you're looking for something in particular, just
ask. I'm happy to make suggestions and recommendations.
Hope to see you at the inn soon!
